1. Product Introduction

The charge and discharge connection cable is a specialized cable assembly that facilitates bidirectional transmission of electrical energy between batteries, energy storage systems, and external devices. Its core function is to accomplish two modes of operation on the same physical connection channel: charging (where external power is injected into the battery) and discharging (where the battery outputs electrical energy to an external load).

Based on different application scenarios, charging and discharging cables are mainly classified into the following types:

Special connecting cable for battery testing equipment: used for charging, discharging, and activating car batteries from external power sources, and monitoring whether battery performance meets requirements. Primarily targeted at battery manufacturing companies, battery inspection agencies, battery testing research institutes, etc.

Energy storage system charging and discharging connection cable: used for conductive connection between battery modules and between battery modules and external devices, consisting of a device-side connector and an energy storage harness, where the energy storage harness is composed of a harness-side connector and a cable.

Portable charging and discharging integrated device cable: A portable charging and discharging device for electric vehicles, which can either draw power from the grid via a charging gun to charge the vehicle, or connect to a discharge conversion strip via a charging and discharging gun to discharge electricity externally.

USB charging and discharging 2-in-1 cable: Equipped with a built-in charging circuit and a boost circuit, it determines the charging and discharging status through a module IC. It can serve as a charger for recharging batteries and also as a power bank for emergency charging of devices like mobile phones.

II. Product Features

Bidirectional charge and discharge switching: The automatic switching between charging and discharging modes is achieved through a built-in circuit or control system. The module IC of the USB-type charge and discharge cable selects the charging circuit or boost circuit to connect with the interface by determining the charge and discharge status of the USB interface. The charge and discharge switching for the energy storage system is completed through the control unit at the device end.

High current-carrying capacity: The rated voltage of the charging and discharging connection line for the energy storage system can reach DC1500V, and the rated current can reach 500A. The KR series charging and discharging connector has a current range of 40A+2A and supports power cord diameters ranging from 12AWG to 9AWG. The nominal cross-sectional area of the connecting flexible cable ESRV-125 used for battery testing equipment can reach 240mm², with a rated voltage of DC1000V.

Dumb-proof design: The standard for energy storage connectors specifically stipulates dumb-proof positions and colors to prevent misconnection of positive and negative poles, ensuring the safety of charging and discharging connections.

Resistance to electrolyte and chemical corrosion: After the outer sheath material of the connecting flexible cable used in battery testing equipment was immersed in lithium iron phosphate electrolyte for 21 hours, the outer surface of the product remained uncracked and unfaded.

Flame retardant and temperature resistance: The flame retardant rating of the KR series connectors reaches V-0 level. The operating temperature range of the connecting flexible cables for battery testing equipment covers -15℃ to 105℃ (ESRV-105) or -15℃ to 125℃ (ESRV-125).

High protection level: The KR series energy storage connectors achieve an IP67 protection level when mated, making them suitable for applications such as electric motorcycles, electric scooters, and drones.

Flexible cable structure is suitable for vibration environments: In household energy storage systems, it is recommended to use flexible cables (such as the RVV series) for connecting battery packs to reduce vibration wear, and to add protective sleeves. The flexible cables dedicated for battery testing equipment adopt a Class 6 conductor structure with a bending radius of 4D.
